All Singing and Dancing
[produced 1973, 1974, 1976]
[one-act, running time about 25 minutes]
This early one-act says it all in the simplest terms: we sing, we dance, we seek approval, and we either die or watch everyone around us die. A chorus of “Old Rugged Cross” while doing an old soft shoe with pants and shorts down around the ankles is the key to getting a part in that new blockbuster. All these years and it still doesn’t get any easier.
